Back Pain After Eating: Causes, Treatment, and More

One of the most common causes of back pain is poor posture. If you sit hunched over your food during a meal, you may finish eating with soreness in your back. That same pain can develop if you’re hunched over your computer or if you maintain a slouched position most of the time.

“It’s concerning because the problem can be missed. It doesn’t show up on a traditional angiogram, which can lead to delayed diagnosis if physicians dismiss the chest pain as nothing,” says Erin Michos, M.D., associate director of preventive cardiology at the Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease. Microvascular angina is an especially worrisome source of cardiac chest pain, and it’s often misdiagnosed because it doesn’t show up as a blockage in the larger heart arteries during testing. This fact can cause doctors to miss the underlying cause.

Twenty four hours later I am still very tired but after drinking a fresh tender coconut I am feeling much better. My stomach flu made me feel like I had food poisoning. I was throwing up off and on 3 or 4 days and was in so much pain in my lower stomach. I’m on my second week and my stomach still has not gone back to normal.

As mentioned previously, some people experiencing a heart attack can have belching and burping and describe a feeling of indigestion. Likewise, the pain and pressure of a heart attack may occur in the epigastric or upper middle abdominal area, similar to the pain of heartburn. Nausea or feeling sick on your stomach is a less common but possible symptom of heart attack.
